Rainout Line Text Notification System
Follow the instructions below to get notified of any field closures at the same the your coach does! No more wondering if your game is going to be cancelled due to weather..........this will allow you to get that information at the same time your coach does.
1) Using your internet browser go to rainoutline.com
2) Once there, in the SEARCH FOR A STATUS box, you want to type << AMHERST ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION >> and hit search (Fig. 1 to the right)
3) On the following screen, click on the name AMHERST ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION (Fig. 2)
4) On the left side of the next screen there is a line that says EMAIL & TEXT ALERTS. Click there to begin registering to receive text alerts. After clicking on EMAIL & TEXT ALERTS. (Fig. 3) , the next screen will have (4) tabs, select the tab TEXT and you will have to answer (3) questions, then agree to the terms and conditions to receive your verification code to begin receiving your notifications. This is also the same section you will come to if you ever wish to UNSUBSCRIBE from these notifications.
5) On the previous screen, (Fig. 4) in the far-right column, click on the empty stars to choose what fields you want to receive notifications for. It might be best to review the season schedule for your child's team to see what fields they will be playing at this year in Amherst to help make your decision.
6) On that same screen, you can see there is a column of numbers directly to the left of the Stars. Those are Extension numbers, each of our fields has its own extension number. For those who do not like using apps, you can call the phone number that is listed right next to our logo in the upper left-hand corner of that same screen -- (440) 214-7549. Once you do, follow the prompts, and enter the extension for the field you are calling about and can find out if it is open or closed. If you are using the app and receiving notifications, you DO NOT need to call the phone number. You will receive a text notification ONLY that a field is closed if you follow the steps outlined above. Always plan on showing up to the field unless told otherwise.
